Craven District Council

Craven is the most westerly district in North Yorkshire and stretches across the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Craven has a population of 53,000 and covers Wharfedale, Ribblesdale, Airedale and part of Lonsdale.

Craven benefits from a relatively stable economy with unemployment levels below regional and national levels. The district also boasts excellent standards of educational attainment which attracts people to live in the area.

One of Craven's Council's main priorities is to build a prosperous District with thriving market towns.
